i'm outraged. totally. WHY? why will sport and games ccas get more points (or im my opinion, recognition) than clubs, societies, and even performing groups?! so what if sports ccas have trainings more than once a week, implying that members of those ccas spend more time at cca than other? it definitely does not mean that members of other ccas are so ultra slack that they simply go for cca once a week just for the cca points... HELLOOOOO? wasn't cca, or eca, implemented to cultivate hobbies and interest groups in the first place? it doesn't mean that just because you're in a sports cca you contribute more than a member of any other cca. that is so UNTRUE. *beep* for your information, performing groups have practices more than once a week too but i don't see any extra credit given to those in such groups. what about those community serving ccas that go out to serve the community at large? don't they deserve any credit? yes, the service aspect of the PEARLS system, but other than that, you learn way more than any sport can give you for example compassion and love for others. for goodness' sake! yes, sports do instill some 'things' in players. but so do all other interest groups and just because there has been a decline in those participating in such ccas like sports and uniformed groups, it doesn't give you a right to encourage students to join them for the extra cca points... isn't that worst? encouraging students to take up sports not for interest but for the benefits? outrageous. most clubs and societies may have only one meeting/session a week. but have you ever thought of the work going behind the scenes? no matter what, every cca has its bunch of devoted and committed members. and it is unfair to undermine their contributions and efforts put in towards the cca. just unfair. ~ why can't things just be the way they have been? leave it.
