happy all saints' day!
woke up at 0930. =) went for the 1245 mass. was late because the buses did not come in time... (yea excuses =X) by the time my sis and i got in, they were already singing "lord have mercy"... it was sorta drizzling when we got off the bus, but it began pouring really heavily during the homily, like booom on the roof. and after mass had ended, we crossed the road to get to the taxi stand... my poor sandals were 'flooded' a few times... and when i walked there was that squishy sound... my sis' track shoes also... haha... took a cab and headed to ttsh. the lady was not around and the nice lady at the counter paged her and she called back and i talked to her. =) looking forward to 6 dec. hope everything works out fine. like how i want it to. had yummy potato salad at hans' in novena square for lunch... heex. oh ya, rf, do you know why i put lyrics in my entries? most of the time the song lyrics reflect how i feel at that point of time, at other times, it just happened to be played on the radio and i enjoyed it and wanted you all to take a listen to it too... =) so now it's raining. still raining. and it's very dark. * purely philosophical. was thinking on my ride home... have you ever wondered who the person who sat next to you on the bus was? ever wondered what that person did, or how many children he had? what about that lady sitting across the aisle during mass? what was she praying so hard for? what about the two men talking happily on the train? did they get a pay rise? what about the man who was walking across the street amidst the drizzle? where was he going? how about the man who was selling a household appliance along a row of shops? he could very well be the next big thing. entrepreneur of the year perhaps? how about the tall and lanky man who sat in front of you on the bus? he was fiddling with his pager. was he an engineer? he alighted at the same stop as me. now, where does he live? what about the little girl crying outside the supermarket? was she lost? or had her parents abandoned her? ever wondered why it rained when you least expected it to? how about the small kid that just rang your doorbell and ran off soon after that? was he a mischievous little fellow on a dare, or was he seeking attention, or... was he lost? what about the elderly lady you saw on a stretcher in the hospital? what happened? was it due to negligence on her caretaker's part? how much longer did she have to live? ever simply wondered why things happen? well i have. have you? it has been one year since i've read mitch albom's "the five people you meet in heaven." i remember it made me cry so much. but i'd love to read it again. shall make a trip to the library soon. i really enjoyed that book... there are so many things to think about as you look around. but do you know what is happening?
