today's gospel reading; Matthew 9:9-13, taught me quite a bit. it reached out to me. slowly, bit by bit, i am attaining what You want me to do. but i need time. i think. but i can feel me slowly relenting.
'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.'

the first week of the june holidays have gone by, just like that. and i have to admit that i haven't really got down to revision yet. last week was spent going back for lectures, tutorials, (and thus also spent for doing those tutorials), meeting up with wonderful friends, cleaning up my room. =X
tues, 31 may, was a great dayy. =D had math lecture early in the morning. the seniors had set up tables for petition signing for being against the change of nyjc's name to ccjc (ackks!), and well, everyone signed it. talking about this petition thing, there was an article in the straits time yesterday about it! i agree with one ex-student who said that it was about the identity... his children would not know what nyjc is. really about the identity. if chij were to change name to something else, a lot, a whole lot, a large number of people, would definitely not be pleased. anyway, the article mentioned that no decision has yet to be made and that the name change was being considered for a few years already. remember the online poll on the school website last year? what happened to our views? =X there was definitely a majority that strongly disagreed to changing the school's name.
anyway, after signing it, went to the library with lixin while waiting for hippo. got rather hungry at 12 plus, decided to ask dern if lunch was part of our plans. and the dear girl actually thought we were meeting next tues. nevermind, it's ok, i forgive you. hee. had lunch with lixin then went back to the library to browse through newspapers. hippo's lesson was extended, somehow i fell asleep and that girl woke me up. haa. "what? you come to the library to sleep?" that's what you said right? haha. i fell asleep because you were talking so long kae. jk. =p
took a bus down to the mrt station and then proceeded to orchard from there. though we left school at 2.10, and we were supposed to meet the rest at 2.30pm, we were the earliest. haa. i detest waiting for people. i emphasis the act. i detest the act of waiting for people. not the people. i love dern, i love priscilla =))) dern came first, with contacts (though she tried to trick mari that she went for lasik). pretty girl. it's been some time since i last saw you, the last time was in church remember? =p btw, your dad served my pew area this morning! =D ok ok, back to last tues. then prisc came and there's a funny part here. dern hugged her first, then me. and then, mari shoved me off to have her turn. wahahahaha. she practically pushed me off priscilla ok. hippos can be quite strong when they want to ehh? =p
decided on starbucks at paragon after going to a no-available-4-seater coffee bean & tea leaf at ngee ann city. after getting our drinks, settled down for a nice long conversation, cannot divulge contents here, no no. haha. then came the freaky bit. a man was loitering nearby. denise noticed him first. apparently he kept looking towards our direction and got dern freaked out. then she saw him splashing water onto his white shirt. -_- *shrugs* we speculated, maybe he was a p.i? hehh. dern:"cannot be, p.i. wouldn't do such a thing." left soon after but mari wanted to get a drink. she is one heck of a blurrie. she had left her wallet and handphone at the counter! luckily the customer after her told her about it. otherwise we'd have spent the rest of our evening either searching for it, or at the police station accompanying her while she filed a report. phews.
then, with the freaky bit out of our heads, headed to heeren. those girls wanted to take neoprint. so girly. haha. jk. the light came on too bright and most of the time, the person right in front of the camera simply had no nose. especially mari, her nose was inexistant in a few shots. so i called her snowman. haha. went to hmv later on. woohooos. i finally sampled a few tracks of lifehouse's self-titled album. woohoo. their intros are pretty long, but they are nice. and jason wade's voice is mesmerising. gets you lost in the music. =) mari was trying to find out the song title of a song sang by john steven in american idol 3. apparently there isn't an a.i 3 compilation. there was 1, 2 and 4, but no 3.
had to leave the place soon after cos dern had to have dinner before rushing off for choir practice, and i had to go home for dinner. we stood in the middle of a bustling intersection, and said our goodbyes. and continued talking. then said our goodbyes again. but continued talking. haha. can't stand us. =D had to leave finally after mari and i spotted a 'gay couple'. haha. mari and i took different trains, and guess what. i'm getting blurrer by each time i am around mari. even she felt 'strongly' that her blurness is rubbing onto me when i told her about what had happened. so this is what happened...
i was taking the train in the direction towards jurong east yar, so i should be stopping at toa payoh (like i always have. this is my first ever blur time =X), but! i alighted at novena instead! no idea what came over me. it looked unfamiliar, and yet i left the train carriage, and even punched out of the ticketing machine. and i was thinking, why is it green? (toa payoh is yellow all over) and then i saw the sign which had 'tan tock seng hospital' on it. only then had i realised that i had alighted at the wrong stop. i panicked for a split second. the logical person (that'd include mari, but is she really a logical person? muahahaha~) would have suggested that i take the next train back. knowing that the next train would only arrive in 5 minutes, together with my dislike for waiting (hehh), i just walked on out of novena square to the bus stop opposite novena church. thank you sbs transit for having 56 there. and thank you daddy and mummy for getting a place 10 years ago with a bus stop downstairs that served 56. yupps, so walked all the way there in super fast speed. haha. called mari when i was crossing the overhead bridge and that was when she expressed her view that her blurness was rubbing onto me. anyways, got home safe and sound, so nothing to complain about. =D
i had been blessed with such wonderful company on that afternoon already, i simply couldn't ask for more. =))))
