met up with joyce and yumei yesterday and toured around the new ij compounds. one funny thing about the school is the track - a three-laned track. haa. yup, just three lanes. solely for 2.4 run. the technical block hasn't changed much, and we were lucky cos the band just moved back into the band room on the 5th floor. and the sound produced was very loud, unlike in the thomson one, when we were still in the band anyway. their first practice in the new band room and we were there! hehh. dern, priscilla poon, amanda and shuyi were there too. lucky them, they may have the opportunity to perform with japan's number high school band or travelling overseas to australia for performances (or even both if response is good).
looks like a formidable fortress eh? =D
this is our secondary school compound. =)
oh yumei also goes to the same agency as i do for job opportunities. got a call yesterday for a position at the Singapore National Eye Centre. i think the lady at the agency is bluffing me again. went to their website to check out career opportunities, and well, there's one customer services (clinic) temp, but the requirements state "preferably one year's experience in frontline services". well, don't know if i get shortlisted, but i don't want to get cheated again. =X the other time, i was "too young" for a position as a social worker. and the agency knew that, only to tell me that during an interview. grr.
hope everything works out. at least there's no more headache over the attachment vs work matter.
and i'm praying that the flu pandemic will not afflict Singapore.
